Seventeen-year-old Epiphany "Epie" Salerno, a gifted math and physics prodigy, has lived a life defined by instability and emotional neglect from her mother, Silvie. Constantly moving from town to town and burdened by her mother's bitterness, Epie has learned to shield herself from hope and dreams.
Her world shifts dramatically when she discovers that her long-lost father, whom she believed dead, is actually alive. Determined to uncover the truth, Epie's search is thwarted by her mother's demands, forcing her into a job caring for Norman Alvord, a cantankerous 75-year-old retired NASA rocket scientist.
Through their fiery exchanges, Epie and Norman form an unexpected bond. As they restore Norman’s prized Thunderbird and embark on a secret road trip to find Epie’s father, they each confront their pasts and find solace in their newfound friendship.
"Epie and the Moonman" is a touching and humorous drama about the power of resilience, the quest for identity, and the profound connections that can heal even the deepest wounds.
